Review: Panther Vision

Fifty Sense Seal of Approval We are always amazed when we go to the Outdoor Retailers’ Show twice a year to find new products that are a great idea. We discovered Panther Vision which is perfect for the over fifties market. They have take LED lights and put them on caps, reading glasses, clips, and lighted safety glasses. It is so much easier doing a task when you can see!

Three LED Power Cap

We tested the Three LED Power Cap. This is a well thought out product. First, the lights have a low beam that looks down which is helpful when cooking dinner at camp or reading a map. Second, there is a high beam for long distance. Third, there is a power beam, all three lights for maximum illumination. It provides light up to 50ft away and can be visible from over a mile.

The four lithium batteries give up to 75 hours of light, and can be easily changed without tools. If you are mechanically challenged, the directions for changing the batteries are sewn into the sweatband along with the type of battery written down. The cap we tested has air vents, lightweight and is fashionable.

You can’t even see the lights, so we ended up wearing it all day and into the evening. It’s nice to know that if we are walking or hiking, we have a safety hat in case the walk turns out longer than anticipated.
